The 120 Discovery is the result of a collaboration between Cheoy Lee Shipyards and Nick Boksa of Boksa Marine Design. Leveraging his vast experience in both commercial and leisure vessel design, Boksa crafted this explorer yacht with a traditional steel displacement hull, featuring a sharp entry and spray chine. Extensive computational fluid dynamics (CFD) studies were conducted on the hull, ensuring its stability, seaworthiness, and efficiency.

The mission of this compact explorer yacht is to facilitate transoceanic adventures in total luxury and comfort. To achieve this, special attention has been given to optimizing the onboard service areas. While it can be run with a smaller crew, the yacht offers comfortable accommodations for up to 11 crew members, including a bridge-deck captain’s cabin—a rare feature for a yacht of this size. There is also an engineer’s cabin and workshop adjacent to the engine room—a hallmark of Cheoy Lee’s focus on practicality. The crew lounges provide a relaxing space for staff during long voyages, and a dumbwaiter ensures seamless food service across all four decks.

Toward the aft, the Jacuzzi and sun lounge offer a spa-like experience with breathtaking views.

Sylvia Bolton has crafted a timeless yet welcoming interior for the 120 Discovery, blending elegance with comfort. On the bridge deck, a foyer with a day head leads into the spacious and versatile skylounge. This area easily transforms into a bar, media room, or even a game-day skybox. Glass doors seamlessly connect the skylounge to the aft deck, creating an inviting indoor/outdoor party space, complete with an al fresco dining area. The pilothouse, positioned forward for optimal visibility, is outfitted with a well-equipped chart table and navigator’s desk, while the captain’s suite on the same deck allows for round-the-clock access.

On the main deck, the full-beam owner’s stateroom exudes the luxury of a superyacht. This suite includes a cozy alcove desk, his-and-her bathrooms, and expansive closet space. The galley, designed for both function and style, boasts a walk-in refrigerator and freezer, as well as abundant prep space. It serves the adjacent dining area and salon, where guests can take in sweeping views through large panoramic windows. Side decks provide discreet crew access, ensuring uninterrupted privacy for owners and guests.

The 120 Discovery continues her elegant interior design throughout the guest rooms. The lower deck houses four spacious guest en-suites cabins tastefully finished.
