A hull born from collaboration
The 120 Discovery is the result of a collaboration between Cheoy Lee Shipyards and Nick Boksa of Boksa Marine Design. Leveraging his vast experience in both commercial and leisure vessel design, Boksa crafted this explorer yacht with a traditional steel displacement hull, featuring a sharp entry and spray chine. Extensive computational fluid dynamics (CFD) studies were conducted on the hull, ensuring its stability, seaworthiness, and efficiency.
Built for transoceanic adventures
The mission of this compact explorer yacht is to facilitate transoceanic adventures in total luxury and comfort. To achieve this, special attention has been given to optimizing the onboard service areas. While it can be run with a smaller crew, the yacht offers comfortable accommodations for up to 11 crew members, including a bridge-deck captain's cabin—a rare feature for a yacht of this size. There is also an engineer's cabin and workshop adjacent to the engine room—a hallmark of Cheoy Lee's focus on practicality. The crew lounges provide a relaxing space for staff during long voyages, and a dumbwaiter ensures seamless food service across all four decks.
